For each [url=]APN[/url] using inband [url=]DHCP[/url] or [url=]RADIUS[/url] servers, a range of Gi addresses must be configured. The addresses within the Gi address range are dynamically assigned to the Physical Interface Cards ([url=]PIC[/url]s) that run the GGSN-C application and act as session controllers. [url=]PIC[/url]s acting as node controllers are not assigned [url=]IP[/url] addresses from the Gi address range defined for the [url=]APN[/url].
The addresses are used by the [url=]GGSN[/url] in communication with [url=]RADIUS[/url] and [url=]DHCP[/url] servers.
To configure the Gi address range for an [url=]APN[/url], include the gi-address-range statement at the [edit services ggsn apn apn-name] hierarchy level:
