关于Ready Timer超时后网络侧行为的补充   [复制链接]

   Ready Timer超时后,MS和网络侧将如何处理呢?在TS24008的V9.3版本及之前只说明了MS侧应如何处理,并没有说明网络侧将如何处理。
  这里有一个CR做了补充说明。这个CR是在2010年8月23-27日中国西安举行的3GPP TSG-CT WG1第66次会议上由Vodafone华为提出的。类型为F,代表对之前规范的错误进行纠正。对应的CSR编号为1610,文档编号为CP-110195,可以直接通过google搜索下载。

  影响的版本是TS24.008 V9.3及之前的版本。
  以下是这个CR中的信息。

Reason for change: 
The READY timer is used both in the MS and in the network in A/Gb mode. In the subclause 4.7.2.1.1 of the current spec, it has only defined the MS behaviour when the READY timer has expired. However, the network behaviour has not defined.

Summary of change: 
Defining the network behaviour when the READY timer has expired.

Some minor editoral corrections.

Consequences if  
not approved: The network behaviour is undefined when the READY timer has expired.

Clauses affected: 
4.7.2.1.1, 9.4.2.2

   也就是说,华为认为需要在规范中补充明确一下,Ready timer超时后网络侧的行为,因此根据华为的建立。TS24008之前的规范针对受影响的4.7.2.1.1章节是这样描述的。
V9.3及之前:
When the READY timer has expired the MS shall:
- perform the routing area updating procedure when a routing area border is crossed;
- not perform a cell update when a new cell is selected.
All other GMM procedures are not affected by the READY timer.
V9.3以后变成了:

When the READY timer has expired:
- the MS shall perform the routing area updating procedure when a routing area border is crossed;
- the MS shall not perform a cell update when a new cell is selected.
- the network shall page the MS if down-link user data or signalling information needs to be sent to the MS.
All other GMM procedures are not affected by the READY timer.
